Steps to get 1,000,000 dollars:
- Download Cheat Engine.
- Install Cheat Engine.
- Launch Virtual Families.
- Start the game and look how much money you have. Memorize or write it down.
- Now you need to launch Cheat Engine without quitting the game. Press Ctrl-Esc to minimize the game and launch Cheat Engine.
- Select Process in menu and then find first record that ends with “Virtual Families.exe”.
- Click Value type drop-down menu and select “float”. Make sure that “Truncated” selected too.
- Enter how much money you have into Value field.
- Press First Scan. Wait until it finish.
- Go back to the game (press Alt-Tab).
- Buy something cheap and memorize how much money you have now.
- Switch to Cheat Engine (Alt-Tab).
- Enter new value and press Next Scan (NEXT scan, not new scan).
- Select found address and press button with red arrow.
- Right click added record and select Change record -> Value.
- Enter 1000000 to get this much money in the game.
- Click OK and close Cheat Engine.
- Switch back to the game. You have $1,000,000!

cheat won’t work for me. when i get to next scan it doesnt do anything but make the error sound. i followed the instructions carefully but its not working at all. could it be that i am using the game from wildtangent and doing the free play as long as you want wild coin trial?
Go 2 settings on ur touch and go to general then click date and time set it for like 2013 or 2012 then go back to the game and u have tons of money! Puls an inconveinence a dirty house

ok so it does work Thanks Tippy for the comment… you can do it with an older family just leave off the change like if you have $527.32 just type in the $527 and when you change it do the same thing! It works I promise.

i think it only works when you start a new game, i tried it with the game i have been playing for a while now and it didn’t work so i started a new one and it worked
the cheat works, what happens is the person that posted the cheat didnt explain that when you put in ur monetary value TO LEAVE THE CENTS OFF. For example, if you have $71.80, you just put 71 in the value field. When you put in for the 1,000,000.00 cheat put in 1000000. It took me 30 mins to figure out the reason why it wouldn’t scan.

I have never used a cheat, but I have everything bought, all repairs finished, and everyone dressed nicely. I have too much money now, because what is there to use it on. Don’t use a cheat, it ruins the point of the whole game

JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE WELCOME SCREEN AND KEEP TH EGAME OPEN THEN FAST FORWARD YOUR COMPUTER TIME FOR 2 YEARS LOG IN AND YOU HAVE OVER 500K then change the clock back best done when you have kids though just incase they die

It works only with cheat engine version 5.5. For some reason the new version doesn’t work. If you go to the cheat engine web site and go to the main page and scroll down towards the middle choose cheat engine 5.5 I did it and it worked perfectly. Oh and you don’t have to select scan twice. Just scan once.
